The Internet and new technology have opened up so many new ways for nonprofits like us to raise money. From text donations and crowdfunding to online acutions — like the one we just held last week — it’s helped make fundraising more, well, fun.
In that spirit of fun, we’d like to share another opportunity to help us raise much-needed funds to support our work building more sustainable food and fuel systems. It’s Spin for Good, a new online gaming company that’s such a great idea, the co-author of Freakonomics begged to be a part of it.
Here’s how it works: Now through Monday, June 30, Spin for Good is hosting its first ever Give a Grand Tournament where they throw in $1,000 to start the pot. You pitch in $10 to the tournament pot, choose to play for Sustainable America, then start playing fun casino games like blackjack and slots. At the end of the tournament, the player with the most points get to choose which charity receives the winnings.
With your help, we can raise the stakes of the tourney AND up our chances at winning the pot!
For more info and to start playing, visit Spin for Good.
