We’re excited to bring together our friends and supporters for our Inaugural Gala and Auction to celebrate our first two years, acknowledge the help we’ve received, and propel our growth into the future. The Gala will take place on June 26, 2014, from 6-10 P.M. at 700 Canal Street in Stamford, Conn., and we’d love to see you there.
The proceeds from this Gala and its accompanying auctions will support our efforts to:
• Educate the public about the nature of the food and fuel issue;
• Engage them in practical approaches to making a difference; and
• Invest in technologies and techniques that can make this a more sustainable America.
We’ve gotten so much support from around the country in our first two years. If you are able to attend, we’d love to meet you in person! There are a limited number of tickets available. You can purchase them here.
The Evening’s Activities
We’ll start the evening with a cocktail hour and tour of our offices, which display tools and techniques that can directly improve our country’s sustainability. Then it’s upstairs for food, fun and the auctions.
The highlight of the evening will be a performance by the talented Tamara Tunie, veteran performer, and television, film and stage actress.
In addition to the live entertainment, we’ll have a locally sourced, sustainably grown dinner and live auction.
Guests, Start Your Bidding…
We’ve lined up a really unique set of auction items that celebrate the sustainable food and fuel systems we are striving for, and some that are just for fun. Our sustainability-oriented auction items include a trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, a sustainable cooking workshop on the North Fork of Long Island, and a trip to a rangeland preservation-oriented sustainable cattle operation in Arizona. We’ve also got auction items geared toward fun and unique experiences, including a New York Yankees spring training experience in Tampa, Fla. And just to demonstrate that sustainability can be both red-hot and sustainable, we’re featuring a one-of-a-kind driving experience made possible by the generosity of our sponsor, Porsche North America.
In Case You Can’t Make It
If you can’t attend in person but are interested in participating in the auction, online bids are welcome through a partnership with Bidding for Good. You can also support Sustainable America by making a small, tax-deductible donation — any size is appreciated — at sustainableamerica.org/donate/.

As always, thank you for your interest and support, and above all, for your commitment to making our country a more Sustainable America.
